Heat

This week's heat has been brutal. Grass is dying in both the front and the back, and the garden is soaking up water pretty regularly. Colombines are likewise fried. Even the normally heat-loving purslane is getting stressed.

In bird news, I saw a mockingbird enjoying our new beautyberries. They've been ripe for about a month now, but this is the first time I've seen them attract anything.
